RACI Chart

The Responsible, Accountable, Consult and Inform Chart (RACI) is a type of Responsibility Assignment Matrix (RAM). These matrix-based charts show the relationship between activities and project team members. They are listed under Organization Charts and Position Descriptions in the fourth edition PMBOK®’s Develop Human Resource Plan process. Below is an example of a RACI for Katy and her family’s project of making cookies. For each activity, the team members’ level of responsibility is indicated. For instance, for the activity of selecting the cookie recipe, Katrina is responsible, but she’ll be consulting the rest of the family as she makes her decision.RACI
